Maldives-Kaani Beach Hotel-Review

Kaani Beach Hotel is a low cost beach hotel located at local island. This is not a private resort island abd I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights during August 2013 . I have arranged for a speedboat transfer on my arrival due to public holiday. The staff wait for us at the arrival hall exit and we get into our speedboat immediately. Lucky we got another couple share the speedboat with us to save the cost. If the speedboat is 4 persons then each person cost USD50. The staff that wait for us at the pier is very helpful.

For the check in process, it is smooth and we got a cool tower and welcome drinks while waiting. It took about 15 minutes for check-in. 

Food-I have tried the food in the hotel restaurant which is the best taste, a restaurant just beside the hotel is not so nice. Stingray Beach Inn which is salty and expensive. At all restaurant in the island be prepare to wait for at least 30 minutes before your food arrive. 

Excursions-I choose Fihalhohi Island Resort for my island hoping trip. The beach at the resort is amazing. Snorkeling experience at the house reef is very fantastic. There are a lot of fish at the house reef and make you not going to stop for snorkeling. Visitor package is around USD48/pax including the buffet lunch and entrance fee. We have total 12 persons went to this island on that day so we save a lot for our transportation cost. 

Madhoo(Picnic Island)-Very nice lagoon and have a small sandbank during morning. The scenery is perfect and you can enjoy the sun and water in this island, just eat, drinks, swimming and sunbath. 

I saw 5-6 dolphins on our way back just outside Maafushi island and our boat driver slow down for us to see the dolphins,it is awesome. 

Night Fishing-3 hours fishing time not far from Maafushi island. It is very fun and you can feel that there is a lot of fish under the water. We just manage to catch a few and it is depend on your luck. 

Rooms-The room is very clean and the bed and pillow is very comfort. You are able to get a good sleep after a tired day. There is no kettle in the room, so remember to bring yours. The washroom have nice design and clean. 

Staff-All the staff are so helpful and friendly, you will feel very comfort. Special thanks to service officer Aswad, he gave us very detail information while we choosing the excursions. 

Wifi-Only work on lobby and usable but the connection is not stable, fast and strong. The wi-fi in the island is mobile internet and you may need to understand that. 

Overall-Stay at Kaani Beach Hotel is a value for money trip, you can enjoy the scenery but your pocket will not burst. There is many excursions you can join, you will not feel bored if you stay in this island. Must choose this hotel is you go to Maafushi Island Maldives.
